Bear Hug - Folk Herbs for Calm

Description

Lavender, vervain, oat tops and lemon balm, with Mimulus flower essence. A little botanical tenderness for days that ask a lot of you.

Wunder Workshop’s Bear Hug brings together four herbs traditionally associated with calm and restorative wellbeing in a distinctive British-grown tincture.

Its name captures the intention beautifully: a moment of warmth, reassurance and room to breathe. Keep it close for an unhurried pause during the day or as part of your evening wind-down.

Why it belongs in Rest & Restore

Rest begins with making space to slow down. Bear Hug draws on the folk-herbal traditions of lavender, vervain, oat tops and lemon balm, plants long associated with relaxation and easing everyday tension.

Its focus is everyday calm, making it a companion for moments when life feels busy and you want to reconnect with a gentler rhythm.

Four herbs, rooted in tradition

  • Lavender: an aromatic herb traditionally associated with relaxation and rest.
  • Vervain: a longstanding companion in European folk preparations for nervous tension.
  • Oat tops: traditionally valued in restorative herbal blends.
  • Lemon balm: a fragrant leaf traditionally used for mild stress and to aid sleep.

Mimulus: the flower-essence tradition

Wunder Workshop includes Mimulus flower essence, traditionally associated within flower-essence practice with courage when facing familiar, identifiable fears.

It adds a symbolic dimension to Bear Hug’s theme of reassurance. This association comes from flower-essence tradition; it is not an established treatment for anxiety.

British herbs, grown with care

The herbs come from a British biodynamic farm, where cultivation follows seasonal and lunar rhythms.

For Wunder Workshop, care for people and care for the land belong together. Certified-organic, biodynamically grown herbs give this formula a clear connection to its source and to the farming practices behind each harvest.
